WELCOME - We hope that your family has enjoyed a pleasant summer and that your children are ready to begin the new school year.  We look forward to working with you to make 2016-17 a successful, exciting, and productive school year for all of our students.

In case of an emergency during school hours, we need information to be able to contact the parents or guardians of every student.  When you receive the emergency card for your child, please complete, sign and return it to the school.  Make sure that you list each person whom you authorize to pick up your child whenever you cannot do it yourself.  It is very critical that the phone numbers listed on the emergency card are valid numbers and in working order.  Also, make sure to list at minimum two different phone numbers other than your home phone number. ANYONE picking up your child MUST present a picture Identification Card (ID). Please, update the Emergency Form immediately if any of the contact information for any of the people listed in it changes. 



It is the expectation that ALL students come to school wearing the school uniform.  The uniform colors are navy blue bottoms (shorts, pants, skirts, or jumpers) and white or navy blue tops (shirts or blouses with collar).  If your child has a Logan logo polo shirt, that is also acceptable. If you need assistance in purchasing a uniform for your child(ren), please contact the school Counselors.



Students will not be released during school hours, unless the parent or guardian appears at our office.  In order to release a child to an adult other than the parent or guardian, the name of the person picking up the child must appear on the Emergency or Registration Card. A picture identification card will continue to be required in order to verify the name of the person picking up the child with the name on the emergency card.  If there is any change in phone number or address during the school year, please stop by the office to complete a new emergency card.  If an emergency occurs, please call the school at (213) 413-6353.



For the safety and security of ALL students, parents will not be permitted to enter the campus unless on school business and only after obtaining a Visitor’s Permit from the office. This policy will be strictly enforced for the protection of your child.  Your cooperation in complying with this matter will be greatly appreciated.



We would like to invite all parents to participate and become a member in our School Site Council and/or our English Learners Advisory Committee.   Orientations to inform you about them will take place on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium.  Elections will then be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium.



We invite all parents to come and help our school by becoming a volunteer.  Parents can volunteer in the Parent Center, in Classrooms, in our Valet Parking, in councils, and much more!  If you are interested, see our Parent Representative, Ms. Cortez in the Parent Center.  Our first Monday cleaning day will take place on Monday, September 8, 2014.



Our annual Title I Meeting will take place on Thursday,  August 25, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Come and learn about the Title I mandates and what the school is doing to improve.
